Join us for a screening of Bevis Bowden’s new film documenting the 2022 Halstow Wassail. Featuring Jim Causley, Bill Murray, and Mariners Away, the film follows the singers and participants as they celebrate “the great good unseen”: the microbial life that plays a vital role in cidermaking.
After the film, there’ll be a live performance of folk songs by Jim Causley and Bill Murray.
Grays Devon Cider will be there – and cider available. Other local cider makers are welcome to come along, and bring their wares – please email boxoffice@ashburtonarts.org.uk.
This new film was produced as part of artist Simon Pope’s project Here’s To Thee, a commission for Arts & Culture at the University of Exeter and RAMM, in partnership with Grays Devon Cider.
