Our monthly session of blues-inspired music featuring great artists from the UK’s deep south west.

**Christmas Bonanza Special**

Vince Lee and the Big Combo

Authentic virtuoso blues. The Big Combo has become legendary around the South West. An exceptional live act featuring gorgeously crafted, jump, swing, soul, and blues. Vince is one of the finest blues singers and guitarists anywhere on the planet – this will be a great night!

Originally a drummer in punk and garage bands, Vince discovered the blues when he was 18. He toured the UK and Europe for ten years as frontman of the Wildcards. In the Big Combo, he’s backed by Al Wallis on bass and Kevin Crowe on drums. This rhythm section is tight and imaginative. The songs are strong and avoid being stuck in the 12 bar format. Your feet will yearn to dance and these guys deserve to be heard.

Gigi and the Grits
The Grits interpret old and new blues songs delivering a true Americana blues sound with a sprinkling of country. With Emily Smith (The Virginian) on vocals, veterans of the blues circuit Ray Kemp on lead guitar and Mary Caffrey on Bass, driven by Archie Tweedie on drums.

Another great line up of two of the best blues-inspired acts in the South West, curated here on the last Monday of every month by local bass player Mary Caffrey. If you’re interested in performing on the main bill, or as part of the jam/open mic part of the proceedings, contact her: mary.caffrey49@gmail.com
