An evening of food, film and conversation for peace and justice.
A unique, charity peace event, intended to inspire hope for a positive future where peace and justice prevail for both Palestinian and Israelis; and where they can live in equality and mutual respect. The event will be an opportunity to explore ideas; to better understand the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict; and to gain some insight into the humanity and experience of both Israelis and Palestinians
All proceeds will go to support Combatants for Peace, a grassroots organisation that has for many years been working to promote justice and coexistence in the region. Secondly, proceeds will go to Al Quds Foundation for Medical Education in Palestine,a British based charity, founded in 1997 to advance medical education in Palestine.
Featuring
Nadia Naser-Najjab – Senior Lecturer in Palestine Studies, University of Exeter
Amal Ghusain – Chair of Palestine Solidarity Campaign Exeter
Ben Yeger – UK representative of Combatants for Peace, ex-combatant living in Totnes
Yaara Lahav – Author of Anglo-Israeli novel, Night Swimming in the Jordan.
