“In And All the Birds Were Set Free the musicians are the birds. It starts with the bass harmonics, then a slow tenor sax melody with bass riffs and dark chords. There is a change of mood and tempo for a modal flying piano solo and then a conversation with the drums. The theme returns until coming to rest.”
