Dartmoor storyteller Lisa Schneidau discusses things otherworldly, bestial and ritual with artists Libby Bove, Gemma Dunnell, Abigail Tinnion, Asha Umberio and George Radford; followed by a story and this documentary by Dartmoor Preservation Association and Clapham Film Unit.

Dartmoor spinner of stories, Lisa Schneidau hosts Lore and Land III artists Libby Bove, Gemma Dunnell, Abigail Tinnion, Asha Umberio and George Radford to talk about all things otherworldly, bestial and ritual!

This is your chance to hear the stories and experiences that brought the show in the Field System gallery to life.

After the discussion, Lisa will tell the tale of ‘Old Crockern’ which will introduce ‘Dartmoor Calling’, a film by Dartmoor Preservation Association and Clapham Film Unit which captures the stories of the people who have saved Dartmoor from development and erosian. Directed by Charlotte Bill, it features the contributions by The Stars are for Everyone, The Lost Giants and Right to Roam.

This event is part of Summer is Ready! Field System’s Mayday Celebration run in collaboration with our neighbours, Field System gallery: https://fieldsystem.co.uk/

See Access, Tickets & Finding Us for more about why there are three ticket prices, plus other useful info about coming to events at Ashburton Arts Centre: getting here, parking, loos, PA tickets, etc.

* We usually have three ticket prices – please pay what you can. If you can pay the full price, that’s great. If choosing a cheaper ticket allows you to come to more things, then please do! Ticket receipts are split between the artists (it’s usually their livelihood!) and the arts centre (keeps the place going). Except on the rare occasions when we have a sellout gig on our hands, it’s always better to have someone here in the audience than an empty seat, so genuinely, please pay whatever you can.
