The last Monday of every month here is Not Only But also The Blues where we feature some of the finest exponents in the south west, and beyond, of music whose roots are in the blues.

Featuring: C Bone Band and Russell Sinclair solo

C Bone Band

Full of soul and rock’n’roll this band is full or energy. With Darren Hurworth on drums and Ben Fletcher on bass C Bone works the crowd with influences from T Bone Walker, Ronnie Earl and Sean Costello to name a few

Guitarist, singer, songwriter, C Bone has played from the streets to festivals, solo to big band, U.K to Europe. He delivers his own hybrid brand of blues, latin, swing and soul. His band is a force to be reckoned with: formed after the release of his debut album, they fire on all cylinders, playing varying styles and take influence from T Bone Walker, Ronnie Earl and Sean Costello to name a few.

C Bone’s own songs speak of his life experiences. Absorbing cultures from his origins in the North East of England to his home base in the South West of the U.K, and across the globe. His greatest desire is to create music that speaks to a vast array of fans and audiences.

With a signature sound that is rapidly gaining recognition, C Bone has received U.K Blues Awards nominations in 2024 and for the best emerging act of the year in 2025.

Released on APM Records, his Debut Album ‘North Sea Breeze’ is out now on all streaming platforms. Here is is on Spotify and here’s the band live @ Cerdanyola Blues Festival ‘24

“C Bone’s got it all. If you can get the chance to see them live, don’t miss the chance” Blues Matters Magazine

Russell Sinclair solo
One of the best Blues musicians in the UK, Russell is the real thing. He brings original blues and swing into today with energy bursting from every note and beat. Playing with passion and feel, his music winds a path from Baton Rouge, Louisiana up to Chicago. Blues straight from the soul.

Along with the usual blues jam/open mic session. If you would like to be included, or to find out more, contact Mary Caffrey on mary.caffrey49@gmail.com.

See Access, Tickets & Finding Us for more about why there are three ticket prices, plus other useful info about coming to events at Ashburton Arts Centre: getting here, parking, loos, PA tickets, etc.

* We usually have three ticket prices – please pay what you can. If you can pay the full price, that’s great. If choosing a cheaper ticket allows you to come to more things, then please do! Ticket receipts are split between the artists (it’s usually their livelihood!) and the arts centre (keeps the place going). Except on the rare occasions when we have a sellout gig on our hands, it’s always better to have someone here in the audience than an empty seat, so genuinely, please pay whatever you can.
