Fusing the ritualistic, the reverent and the ridiculous, Ostara Circus Cabaret is a journey into the turn of the seasons, into our conscious and unconscious, and a joyous celebration of spring’s blossoming.
In cabaret style with a series of separate acts. Expect to be led through this feast of circus performances by our charismatic and hilarious Master of Ceremonies, from fire breathing to aerial silks, bellydancing to clowning, expect to be wowed, shocked, amazed and entranced!
We open this space ritually with an offering to the land and there will be an interactive ritual that all audience members are invited to participate in during the evening.
There will be a kids area on the floor with blankets and cushions at the front right, with chair seating for parents next to it. The wriggly ones can have a little spot to move around in while the parents can watch the show and the kids at the same time. If you want to sit in this area please email boxoffice@ashburtonarts.org.uk with “kids area” in the subject. after you buy your ticket here and we will reserve you a seat in this area.
FOOD in the interval – please book in advance
During the half time interlude an organic vegan stew will be served, and a simple kids option will be available. To avoid hunger and disappointment we advise buying your dinner with your ticket as we cannot guarantee how many extra portions there will be on the night!
Adults: A hearty organic vegan vegetable stew, served with sourdough bread from Hylsten bakery
Kids: Half portion of organic vegan stew and a slice of sourdough bread OR organic pesto pasta and optional cheese

See Access, Tickets & Finding Us for more about why there are three ticket prices, plus other useful info about coming to events at Ashburton Arts Centre: getting here, parking, loos, PA tickets, etc.
* We usually have three ticket prices – please pay what you can. If you can pay the full price, that’s great. If choosing a cheaper ticket allows you to come to more things, then please do! Ticket receipts are split between the artists (it’s usually their livelihood!) and the arts centre (keeps the place going). Except on the rare occasions when we have a sellout gig on our hands, it’s always better to have someone here in the audience than an empty seat, so genuinely, please pay whatever you can.
