About a Lovely Tree is an exhibition to celebrate all trees in poetry, photography, artworks and woodwork. It is running from 6 – 26 May, open daily from 10.30am – 5pm and when the  Arts Centre is open for other events.

It’s being organised by Ashburton town councillor Ian Pickvance, who writes:  “The exhibition coincides with the start of necessary work in Bulliver’s Way to tackle ash dieback and historic neglect. It is hoped that a bench could be placed in Bulliver’s Way following re-planting of the area by local school children.”

The exhibition is free to view. Any donations towards the cost of the bench will be gratefully received. These can also be left at Ashburton Information Centre, Kingsbridge Lane, TQ137DX.

The Town Clerk has written about the work in Bulliver’s Way here on Facebook.
