The Jamestown Brothers is a high energy, foot stomping original indie-folk band from Somerset, UK. Formed in 2017 by singer-songwriter Colin Batchelor, the line-up of guitars,
trumpet, keyboards, bass, drums, fiddle, recorder, and saxophone creates a huge sound.

The band’s all-original songs combine the rich history and social tapestry of Great Britain and Ireland with a hard-core call for social justice. Inspired by the strength and inspiration of those who forged our nation, they’re delivered by a powerful band that’s already got crowds of all ages dancing and shouting for more!

2019 saw the release of their EP ‘Singing for our Supper’, followed up in August 2020 with their acclaimed album ‘Rebels, Rogues & Regrets’. It’s bookended by two rousing historical pieces: ‘Cut Em Down’ tells the story of the Peterloo Massacre and ‘Long Walk Home’ is a call to join the spirit of the Jarrow March.

The band’s latest release is the foot-tapping, glass-raising earworm ‘Big Parade’, the lead single from their latest rousing EP ‘Just Is’.
