The Ashburton Community Folk Orchestra will perform some toe tapping music from Devon, Scandinavia and beyond. Beautiful intriguing airs in 11/8, English hornpipes in 3/2, strutting Danish dances and good old British Rants!
This open Community Folk Orchestra meets regularly at the arts centre to have fun playing and learning together. It is led by David Faulkner
The concert will be from 7.30pm to 8.30pm after which there will be a break.
This will be followed by a folk session where members of the audience and the band will be invited to lead a tune or two, sing a party piece, join in and generally have some fun.
Ashburton Safe Haven is an organisation set up by volunteers in April 2022 to support the Ukrainian families settling within Ashburton and the surrounding villages. Money raised at this event will go towards helping these families and individuals displaced by war.
