7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Sadly, one of the other venues on the band’s short tour cancelled the show, making it not viable for them to travel to Ashburton on Saturday.
Inês Loubet is a London-based multi-instrumentalist/singer and her original compositions show her influences: Jazz, vibrant latin-grooves and her native language, Portuguese.
With her will be Julio Castro on bass guitar and Jansen Santana on percussion. They will be presenting the songs from Loubet’s upcoming album SENGA (out on 30th June). Loubet has been invited to perform solo at Union Chapel in London and to perform at O2 Shepherds Bush to open for Brazilian legends Gilberto Gil & João Bosco. Loubet’s projects have been praised by the likes of Gilles Peterson and The Line of Best Fit, as well as earned her several UK and international tours and radio appearances at Jazz Fm and BBC Radio 3. Loubet is also the recipient of the Drake Yolanda Award 2022 and Arts Council England finding for her SENGA UK Tour.
“An extraordinary and transcendent vocal performance; a highly flexible, expressive and admirably multi-lingual vocalist” Ian Mann, Winner of the Parliamentary Jazz Award for Best Media
“Here, as in other instances on the record, Loubet’s voice is truly an instrument in itself, and her harmonies are almost unsettlingly pure.” Dan Carabine, The Line of Best Fit
“…A joy to listen to – astonishing stuff!” Nia Lynn, vocalist
