Sam Richards has written a piano piece – which actually consists of 90 pieces – based on the 81 chapters of the Chinese classic the Tao Te Ching. He’ll be performing it/them for the first time at Ashburton Arts Centre on Saturday 26 August 2023 starting at 11am. You’re welcome to come and go as you please. Sit and listen for a while, have a look round Ashburton (a particularly nice small Devon town), come back, listen to some more, go for coffee, perhaps tea, listen to some more, have dinner…whatever. Or just come for an hour (any hour).

Admission to the performance is be by donation, as you arrive or as you leave, which you can do at any time. Cash or card both accepted. Or see ashburtonarts.org.uk/donations to make a donation online. Please make the reference ‘Listen Silent’.
The bar will be open with coffee and tea, plus a range of drinks including Boo Chi kombucha and Koota (100% mangosteen juice) available.
