Hugh Nankivell (keys), Ben Ballard (percussions) & Steve Sowden (guitar, loops) are Trio of Men; municipal song-makers from South Devon – synonymous with joyful instant song-making at festivals, hospitals, nursery schools & with experimental choirs. They have crafted unexpected happenings & cosmic rituals:gleefully mixing Victorian science with shamanism, Brexit with hard-boiled eggs & Agatha Christie with Japanese community orchestras. Their current preoccupation is DEMENTIALAND – a sequence of songs based on experiences in care homes, on dementia wards & with family members. It is a post-truth land of textured wallpaper, dislocated communications, support packages & unstoppable voices.
