ACMF2019: Hausmusik

Hausmusik Events Tickets £5, £8 or £10

Nobody knows the programme in advance – not even the musicians! From a pile of music – including string quartets from the last 300 years – the audience will choose pieces, and the musicians will sight-read them, right there in front of everyone: no rehearsal!

As well as being a chance to hear some amazing music, at VERY close quarters, these are all happening in some wonderful houses and gardens. The first is in Broadhempston, 20 minutes outside Ashburton: it’s worth the trip – see below! The second is closer, just beyond Buckfastleigh, near Pennywell Farm. Again, a chance to visit a wonderful place that’s usually private. For the third, on Friday evening, we’re right in the heart of Ashburton.
